Google Docs

Rich Text Document Composer

Free

Google Docs is an online and offline (mainly online) document composer on the cloud. It requires an internet connection (unless you use the offline function) and runs on your browser with javascript, which means no additional plug-ins need to be installed. Everything is cloud based, so you require a Google Account and an internet connection to save and open files!
